Michael Savetsky, MD
Dr. Savetsky is a board-certified Cornea/External Disease and Refractive Surgeon, specializing in advanced ocular surgeries such as LASIK, PRK, cornea transplants, cataract surgery, Pterygium, dry eye, and general ophthalmology. With a strong background in ophthalmology and extensive experience in the field, Dr. Savetsky has been trusted by fellow doctors to perform LASIK and has even undergone laser corrective surgery himself. This unique perspective allows him to better understand and empathize with his patients’ experiences before, during, and after surgery.
In addition to offering traditional surgical techniques, Dr. Savetsky also provides the latest in Intraocular Lens technology and Femtosecond Laser-assisted cataract surgery, which allows for greater post-surgical benefits, including a wider range of vision without the need for glasses. Dr. Savetsky is also a specialist in the treatment of Keratoconus and Fuchs Dystrophy and offers advanced corneal surgeries such as DALK, DSEK, and DMEK, which result in lower rejection rates, less trauma to the cornea, and faster vision recovery.

After receiving ophthalmology training at Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans, LA, Dr. Savetsky acquired further training in cornea and refractive surgery at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic. He has remained involved in various research studies and clinical trials for new drugs and treatments for the eye and has presented his work at The American Academy of Ophthalmology and The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery medical education meetings.
Although he hails from New York, he has fully embraced the California lifestyle and weather. He loves spending time outdoors and taking his wife and baby to far-off destinations.
